I started RecruitMe because working with student-athletes is truly my passion. I was a collegiate student-athlete myself, a gymnast at George Washington University, and my academic advisor absolutely got me through. She was my light and strength in so many ways and inspired me to want to have the same impact on future student-athletes.
I was a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Student Life, academic advising for student-athletes at the University of Florida and an Academic Advisor for student-athletes at Rice University. As a former college advisor, I know what’s to come, the right things to look for and the right questions to ask so you can prepare and make the best decisions for a memorable college experience.
Ten years after leaving my job at Rice to start a family and be a stay at home mom - a stay at home mom who couldn’t sit still and volunteered for all the things: PTO, class parent, team mom, fundraising chair, etc - I had the itch to get back into advising! As my own kids got into competitive sports, I saw the path that I was once on. I saw the path that I advised kids through and I’m excited to guide students through their journey again.
Going through the recruiting process is a scary and exciting time in life. My greatest joy has not been from my own life’s achievements, but from being a part of the journey for others - the hard work, the adversity, the challenges, the fun, the growth and more. I’m excited to work together and help you reach your goals!
"Maybe the JOURNEY isn't so much about becoming anything. Maybe it's about un-becoming everything that isn't really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place."
